AISCCE exam toppers felicitated in Arunachal Pradesh

ITANAGAR: The Ramakrishna Mission School Aalo Senior Alumni Association (RMSASAA), comprising ex-students of 1966–74 batches, had organised the second felicitations programme for the toppers in the AISSCE exam from RKM School at Aalo in West Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh. The felicitation was aimed at encouraging the students to excel not only in their academic careers but in all fields of life so as to become good human beings. Mars Padu with 94.20 per cent in Humanities, Marsum Loyi with 90 per cent in science, and Yogesh Kumar with 88.60 per cent in Commerce were felicitated with a scarf, certificate, and a cash award of Rs 10,000, along with a copy of the book “Half a Decade in the Enchanting Enviroment of Arunachal Pradesh” by Swami Kirtidananda, who was the secretary of the institution from 1969–74.

The senior alumni, led by Raken Padu, retired SP; Dr. Emi Rumi, retired Director of Family Welfare; and Kenjom Ete, retired PWD chief engineer, recalled the earlier days of the institution in temporary structures with no facilities for electricity or regular water supply. They paid their homage and reverence to Swami Nageshananda, the founding secretary of the school, Swami Kirtidananda, and all the monks and teachers who were instrumental in bringing up the school from its infancy in such a remote place with poor road communication and without the luxuries of city life.

They exhorted the students to be well disciplined, fully dedicated to their studies, and become good human beings in society.
