ITANAGAR: A group of 10 delegates from the State recently participated in the Students Experience in Inter-state Living (SEIL) programme organized by the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP).
The theme was “Bharat Gaurav Yatra”. SEIL is an annual cultural exchange programme or exposure tour being hosted every year by AVBP for the North-eastern students to experience the culture, food and heritage of the various States. Informing this, assistant professor of DN College and AVBP State unit president, Agin Taboh said SEIL aims to integrate North-east with the rest of India and the idea of the tour was initiated in 1960.
As per Taboh, the delegates which were divided into two groups visited various States like Chandigarh, Rajasthan and Maharastra, and the tour came to an end at Guwahati on January 26.
Meanwhile, few students also shared their experiences during their short stay in host families in different States.
State secretary, ABVP, Akramso Ngadong and central working committee member (CWC), Tame Siayang also spoke and briefed about the activities of AVBP.
