Annual Action Plan 2019-20 under AYUSH Mission finalized in Arunachal Pradesh

Itanagar: The State Annual Action Plan (AAP) 2019-20 under the National AYUSH Mission for Arunachal Pradesh has been finalized for onward submission to the Government of India, according to an official press note.
This ‘development’ was made during the sixth Governing Body Meeting (GBM) of Arunachal Pradesh AYUSH Society, which was held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Satya Gopal at Civil Secretariat here on Thursday.
The GBM approved the State Annual Action Plan 2019-20, which was presented by Dr Dusu Laji, Deputy Director AYUSH for onward submission to the Government of India, an official communique informed here on Friday.
The Chief Secretary while reviewing the details of the State Annual Action Plan stressed on proper evaluation of the training components. Supporting the need on regular training to ASHA workers and ANMs, the CS gave directives to devise an ‘Evaluation Format’ to measure the productivity of training.
The formats should be devised in a manner where the feedbacks from both the trainers and trainees are obtained, he said.
Alarmed at the higher number of Cancer patients and cases in Arunachal Pradesh, the CS urged the Health Department to conduct Cancer Awareness Camps regularly. “We should invite Master Trainers from Government of India and Institutes like AIIMS,” he stated.
He also suggested that the AYUSH should conduct health camps during ‘Sarkar Aapke Dwar’ programmes. Considering the free health services rendered by the traditional healers in Arunachal Pradesh, the Chief Secretary desired that they should be given proper recognition by the concerned authority for their selfless service to the mankind.
Among others, the meeting was attended by Principal Secretary Health Dr A C Verma, PCCF Dr Rabindra Kumar, Finance Secretary Y W Ringu, Secretary Health Juhi Mukherjee, Director Health Services Dr M Lego, officers from Agriculture and Horticulture departments, the communique added.
