Armed forces organize motivational programme in West Siang

Itanagar: The motivational interactive programme ‘pay back to society’ by group of commissioned officers of the armed forces under the guidance of Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig (Retd) Dr B D Mishra was held in Gumin Kiin, Aalo in West Siang district on Monday.

Hundreds of students from Aalo higher secondary school, Nehru Memorial Higher secondary School and North East Frontier Technical University (NEFTU) participated in the programme, an official communiqué informed.

The programme was led by Major General Jarken Gamlin, with Lt Commander (Navy) Rige Bagra and Major Nyajum Rida Jilen. They shared their early struggles, humble beginning and their achievement in the armed services. The students were also informed how one could be recruited as officer in the services. The event was attended by West Siang DC Sweetika Sachan, deputy director of school education (DDSE) and heads of various departments, the communiqué added. Pay back to society orientation workshop was also conducted at Govt Higher Secondary School Khonsa in Tirap district under the aegis of armed personnel of Arunachal Pradesh and district administration, wherein, commissioned officers in Armed forces from the state Major K Juja of Rajput Regiment, Flt Let Simon Doke, Indian Navy and Lieutenant Mobia Hangu were the resource persons who interacted and motivated the students to join the armed forces, another communiqué added.
