ITANAGAR: As a part of its commitment towards the welfare of local people in the remote areas of the country, the Spear Corps of the Army distributed books and stationery among the students of Maro in Upper Subansiri district of Arunachal Pradesh on December 8.

The aim of the camp was to encourage the students of Maro Village to pursue their educational activities. As a part of the event, drawing and essay writing competitions were also organized to provide an opportunity to the students to showcase their talents. Altogether 71 under-privileged students of the area benefitted from the event. The initiative of the Spear Corps was highly appreciated by the locals, stated a PIB (Defence wing) release.
