Arunachal: 1658 Candidates Clear APPSCCE Prelims, Mains Examination Date Expected Soon

ITANAGAR: 1,658 aspirants for the civil service passed the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Combined Competitive Examination (APPSCCE) preliminary exam on Sunday. 140 vacancies are being filled by the APPSCCE.

On December 15, the preliminary exam was held at 87 testing locations that were announced in 18 districts of the state.

The mains examination will be announced and posted to the commission's website in a week, according to Parul Gaur Mittal, secretary of the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC). The answer key challenge in CSAT was "mainly for 3-4 questions, which were examined thoroughly," she explained, adding that the commission had received 200 answer key challenges.

According to the APPSC Secretary, the commission reviewed the answer key challenges for the CSAT paper that were submitted in hard copy, considering them as a special case due to candidates' inability to submit online, citing a lack of reliable sources in the CSAT paper.

Additionally, one question from the general studies section was accepted through the answer key challenge, while another was included suo motu. Following a detailed examination, the commission refined the answer key accordingly.

The commission also received complaints regarding three questions in the CSAT paper, which initially led to the provisional allocation of grace marks. However, after further examination, the final answer key was revised to provide accurate solutions. The updated solutions were subsequently published on the website to ensure clarity for students.
