ITANAGAR: The Arunachal Pradesh government has adopted the '3T formula' to contain the spread of COVID-19 across the State which, has not witnessed any community transmission of the virus as of now, Chief Minister Pema Khandu said here.

The '3T formula' includes 'testing, tracing and treating' to contain the spread of the infection, adding that most of the cases in the State are from local transmission.

"Our Health workers and all frontline workers including the personnel of the adminstration are working day and night to contain the pandemic; and significantly, the recovery rate in the State rose to 61.7 per cent," the Chief Minister informed the media here on Wednesday.

Arunachal is among the top six States in the country in terms of COVID-19 test at per million tests ratio, he added.

The Chief Minister also said that though medicine has not been invented for the treatment of COVID-19 patients as of now, the focus of the government would be on containing the spread of the disease.

He appealed to the people to strictly follow the Standard Operating Procedures (SoPs) issued by the government to contain the pandemic, and added that the government cannot do anything without the cooperation of the people.

State Health Minister Alo Libang and Health Secretary P Parthiban were also present during the briefing.
