ITANAGAR: The State Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has slammed the Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) and Indian National Congress (INC) for organizing 'Satyagraha march' to condemn the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for summoning Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in the National Herald money laundering case.

Addressing a press conference at the press club here on Tuesday, the State BJP spokesperson Nabam Vivek condemned the INC and APCC for carrying out 'Satyagraha' march accusing the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP of misusing agency power to destroy an individual's political career and the party.

He informed that the case was filed by one individual Subramanian Swamy in 2013 and not by any of the BJP workers. The PM and the BJP have nothing to do with the case. He informed that in 2013, Subramanian Swamy filed a complaint in the Delhi trial court accusing the Gandhis of conspiring to cheat and misappropriate funds of shareholders of the Associated Journals Limited, the publishing company of the National Herald newspaper.

The ED summoned the Gandhis for some cause as it has been investigating the case since 2014, said Vivek, adding that the two political leaders were not arrested, just summoned for questioning which is legal in the investigation process of any case.

"If they are found not guilty the law will set them free", said Vivek, adding, there is no such thing as politics involved in the case. He also said that INC is the one making the case a political agenda by directing unnecessary conduct of nationwide protest rallies.
