Arunachal BJP opposes bandh

ITANAGAR: BJP National Council Member and State (Arunachal Pradesh) Vice President Tame Phassang has defied the bandh called by Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) in support of All India Congress Committee (AICC) over hike in fuel prices on Monday. "State BJP defies the bandh called by the APCC in the State, when they (Congress) already know that the price issue of petrol and diesel is an international issue. The State and Centre has nothing to do with it, it is just an eye wash," Phassang said. Phasssang also slammed the APCC for creating misunderstanding among the people by raising the international controlled crude oil issue. "When Congress has failed to point any corruption issue of Prime Minister Narendra Modi led NDA government, they made up the story of petrol prices and trying to divert the minds of common people," he asserted. He further appealed the people of the State, specially the citizens of Itanagar not to support such undemocratic movement of the Congress.
