Arunachal Chamber of Commerce and Industry ultimatum to Government

The Arunachal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) on Friday issued 48 hours ultimatums to the State government

ITANAGAR: The Arunachal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) on Friday issued 48 hours ultimatums to the State government to meet their 3-point demands, failing which they said to go for non-cooperation movement by 72 hours shutter down of business establishment within the Itanagar Capital Region (ICR).

Addressing the media person, ACCI General Secretary Toko Tatung said that, despite the assurance by the state to look into the issues, till today there has been no response. He said that the state government headed by Deputy Chief Minister (DCM) Chowna Mein during a meeting had assured to constitute a committee to look into their demands.

"During the meeting we were assured that the issue of renewal of trading licenses would be addressed soon. But, till today there is no notification issued by the state government on it," he said adding that due to which many of the business community is confused how and when to renew their trading license. He said that the business community of the state has been facing many problems due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He requested the Chief Minister Pema Khandu to look into the matter at the earliest.

Tatung also informed that the ACCI had also requested the Chief Secretary of state to allow the skilled laborers and unskilled staff to enter the state, provided following the standard operating procedures.
