Arunachal: Chief Minister Initiates Transformation; New Administrative Circle and Development Boost

ITANAGAR: In a significant move, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu officially declared the establishment of a new administrative circle, Lab-le, carved out of the existing Payeng circle in the Upper Subansiri district. This announcement came during a meeting held in Kublong village under the Taliha Assembly Constituency.

During the meeting, Chief Minister Khandu openly acknowledged the prolonged delay in addressing the infrastructural development in the Payeng administrative circle, which was established in 1999. He recognized the area's historical significance and expressed regret for its slow progress, attributing it to a possible lack of proper planning or robust political will at higher levels.

Responding to concerns voiced by Tara Payeng, the first Tagin MLA and a pivotal figure in creating the circle headquarters, Khandu empathetically acknowledged the sentiments surrounding the region's underdevelopment. He assured Payeng and the local population that substantial, transformative changes would unfold in the area in the coming years.

The Chief Minister emphasized his commitment to providing essential infrastructure and manpower to both the existing Payeng circle and the newly announced Lab-le. He highlighted Prime Minister Modi's distinctive approach toward the Northeast, stating that the region is now integral in the formulation of policies, programs, and budgets.

As the assembly elections loom, Khandu appealed for support and cooperation from the people, promising to sustain an accelerated pace of development across the state. He mentioned having a ready blueprint to propel the state onto a fast-paced developmental trajectory post-elections.

Addressing concerns outlined in various memoranda submitted by locals, the Chief Minister assured that all genuine demands would be met by the state government in a phased manner. Meanwhile, in the presence of four Upper Subansiri legislators and dignitaries, Khandu inaugurated multiple projects, including infrastructure for Taliha Government Secondary School, a Taliha stadium, a Bogne to Lepajaring road, an Inspection Bungalow at Kodak, a circle office building, CO residential quarter in Taliha, and the enhancement of Taliha water supply and PMGSY roads from Noh bridge to Papa, Taliha to Duchok, Tajina bridge to Ramsing, and Tajina bridge to Baring.
