ITANAGAR: The Arunachal Christian Forum (ACF), while welcoming the statement of Chief Minister Pema Khandu to resolve the contentious Tawang church issue amicably, has also stressed that that the forum absolutely differs with the three-member committee report on the matter, terming it as biased. The forum also informed that a mass meeting on all the matters and further course of action on the issue will be held at the State capital, comprising district and block levels Christians leaders, on July 16 next.

Addressing the media at a press conference at the press club today, ACF vice president James Techi said that the Chief Minister has directed the Tawang district Deputy Commissioner to act on the matter according to the three-member committee's report to resolve the matter. ''However, it is a well known fact that the forum has already rejected the committee's report. Moreover, the allegation over the encroachment of Government land and relocation of the church is not justified.''
