Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Tuesday inaugurated three major projects at Aalo the headquarters of West Siang district. The projects include, a motorable bridge over Yomgo river to connect Paya village, motorable bridge over Yomgo river at Bene village and Bene government upper primary school.
The Chief Minister also attended a ‘thanksgiving’ party of Aalo West MLA Topin Ete. Addressing a huge gathering, Khandu assured all help to Ete for overall development of the Aalo West assembly constituency. He disclosed that five bridges have been approved by the state government in the constituency.
The Chief Minister appealed to the people to work jointly for the development of the area as well as the state.
He informed that a general development meeting will be held next month where all deputy commissioners, mentor secretaries and guardian ministers will take part. Khandu appealed to the people to cooperate with the Health department in eradicating tuberculosis under TB Mukt Bharat and TB Mukt Arunachal.
He said the existing zonal hospital at Aalo will be renamed after former MLA Boken Ete, the architect of modern Aalo. Khandu, who is on a two-day tour to the district, on Monday inaugurated the office of chief engineer of the Public Health Engineering & Water Supply (PHE &WS) central zone at Bene near Aalo. He said the initiative is a significant step towards enhancing water supply and public health engineering services. “With this project, we aim to bring efficient administration, better infrastructure, and improved public utilities to serve the people of Central Arunachal,” the chief minister said in a post on X.
Later, the chief minister attended the 18th foundation day of the All Ato Paktu Ao Welfare Society at Paktu Heritage Centre, Aalo. In his speech, he appealed to the members of the Ato Paktu Ao Clan to stay united for the development of the area as well as work with a Pan Arunachal spirit. Khandu advised the youth to stay away from drugs. The Chief Minister also attended a function at Ramakrishna Mission School.
“Happy to visit the Ramakrishna Mission School in Aalo, a beacon of knowledge and values!” Khandu said in another post on X. He said the state government is committed to supporting the school’s vision of upgrading into a college, I assure full cooperation and infrastructure support to make this dream a reality. “Kudos to the Ramakrishna Mission for shaping individuals who serve the state and nation selflessly!” the chief minister wrote. Khandu was accompanied by Ministers Mama Natung, P D Sona, Biyuram Wahge, Nyato Dukam, Assembly deputy speaker Kardo Nyigyor, West Siang deputy commissioner Mamu Hage, SSP Tumme Amo and heads of various departments.
