Arunachal: Committee hear witnesses in alleged breach of privilege case

ITANAGAR: The third and fourth sittings of the Privilege Committee of the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly were held at the assembly conference hall here on Monday. The sittings were chaired by deputy speaker Kardo Nyigyor. In the third sitting, the committee heard the witnesses, including officers from the Rural Works Department (RDW) and members of the local public in connection with the breach of privilege motion moved by Bameng MLA Kumar Waii against RWD superintendent engineer Rupa circle NL Kamin.

In the fourth sitting, the committee examined a breach of privilege motion moved by Tawang MLA Namgey Tsering.

After carefully examining the matter, the committee resolved to proceed with an investigation into it. Also present were MLAs Zingnu Namchoom, Puinnyo Apum, Hayeng Mangfi, and Hape Appa, additional advocate general Ninong Ratan and assembly secretary Tadar Meen and additional secretary Agaab Mossang.
