ZIRO: Around 50 participants, including 15 heads of departments, panchayat members, and officials from the State Institute of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj (SIRD&PR), took part in a two-day district-level workshop on Panchayat Advancement Index (PAI) 2.0 here, which ended on Saturday. The event aimed to familiarise stakeholders with the revised PAI framework, operational procedures, and its role in evidence-based planning at the gram panchayat level. Organized by SIRD&PR in collaboration with the Lower Subansiri district administration, the workshop was inaugurated on Friday in the presence of deputy commissioner Oli Perme, ADC Hage Tarung, zila parishad chairperson Pura Dollo, and other dignitaries. The first day featured sessions on the policy framework for evidence-based planning, the baseline report of PAI version 1.0 and roadmap for version 2.0, and key learnings from national and state experiences.
