ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein on Tuesday said the northeast region witnessed massive development momentum after the BJP-led government at the Centre came to power in 2014, projecting the region as the ‘Engine of growth for the 21st century.’
The region, being neglected for decades by the previous Congress regime, has received attention from the Centre in the past eleven years with Prime Minister Narendra Modi focusing on a roadmap for the holistic development of the northeastern states, Mein said while addressing a function here to celebrate 11 years of Modi government in office.
