Arunachal government to turn ATAL conclave an annual affair

GUWAHATI: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu promised to turn the ‘ATAL Conclave (Arunachal Transformational and Aspirational Leaders) Conclave, a three-day youth event organized by the Arunachal Pradesh government an annual affair.

The three-day conclave which involved youths in policy formulation and decision-making process has ended on Sunday at Arunachal Pradesh’s capital Itanagar with a positive note.

Atal Conclave, the first-of-its-kind event in the state, saw students from different colleges and universities engaging in deliberations and presenting proposals for good governance to the chief minister.

During the valedictory function of the three-day conclave held at Itanagar on Sunday, the CM urged the youth to join 'Team Arunachal' government, it said.

The CM promised the students that deliberations made and papers presented during the three-day event would be examined by the planning department for incorporation in the policy programmes of the government.

Stressing the need to bridge the gap between public and the government, the CM also requested the students to make use of their free time to spread awareness on the flagships programmes of the state and the Centre.
