Arunachal Governor BD Mishra, CM Khandu Extend Greetings

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig (retd) Dr BD Mishra and Chief Minister Pema Khandu have extended their wishes to the people of the State on the occasion of Ali-Aye-Ligang and Donggin festival to be celebrate on Saturday.

The governor in his festival messages extended his greetings to the people of the State, particularly the Missing and Adi Communities on the festive occasion of Ali-Aye-Ligang and Donggin. The Governor said that Ali-Aye-Ligang and Donggin festivals harbinger the new agro-horticultural season, which is celebrated with great fervour and gaiety. “The rituals and the festivity associated with these festivals are performed to invoke the blessings of the almighty for good harvest. These festivals continue to help in preserving our age-old customs and traditions. I hope that these festivals, which have been handed down to us from the days of yore, from generation to generation, will continue to preserve the cherished rich emotional, cultural and social traditions of the Missing and Adi communities,” he said.

“May this festivity bring bumper harvest, prosperity, fraternity and happiness for all,” the governor added.

Khandu in his message hoped that the festive occasion would bring with it prosperity, peace, brotherhood, bumper harvest and good health for the people of Arunachal Pradesh.

“Festival fosters bond between communities and strengthen the age-old mutual trust and respect”, Khandu said while praying almighty to bless each sentient being with his choicest blessings.
