Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh governor Lt Gen (Retd) K T Parnaik and Chief Minister Pema Khandu extended their wishes to the people of the state on the eve of New Year.
The governor wished that the New Year would herald extraordinary progress, abundance of peace, amity, tranquillity, and prosperity and enhance all-round development in the state.
In a message this evening, Parnaik said the development of Arunachal Pradesh rests on four key pillars, i.e., education, health, infrastructure, and tourism. “Over the past year, we have achieved significant progress in these areas. Improved connectivity through better roads, bridges, and digital infrastructure drives economic growth,” he said. The governor said our state’s natural beauty and vibrant culture position us as a future world-class tourist destination, creating jobs and fostering entrepreneurship.
He said the state government, guided by the mission to eradicate Tuberculosis by 2025, is enhancing healthcare accessibility for a healthier future.
“As we celebrate the 100th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, we reaffirm our commitment to good governance, transparency and efficient service delivery to every citizen,” Parnaik said.
He said initiatives like Seva Aapke Dwar and the Vibrant Village Programme have ensured that government benefits reach even the most remote communities, reflecting our focus on inclusive development.
As we strive for a Viksit Arunachal, I urge every citizen to support the state government in building a prosperous, self-reliant, and harmonious state.
“Let us work together towards the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, ensuring sustainable growth for all,” the governor said in his message, while wishing everyone a healthy, successful, and fulfilling New Year 2025.
Khandu in a post on X, urged the people to drive responsibly and ensure that their celebrations are marked by safety, peace, brotherhood and harmony.
“2024 is coming to a close, and the excitement of year-end celebrations and welcoming 2025 is in the air. In Arunachal Pradesh, the roads have seen remarkable improvements, offering smoother rides. I urge everyone to drive responsibly and ensure that your celebrations are marked by safety, peace, brotherhood and harmony,” Khandu said in the post.
