The items included 20 pairs of benches and desks, an inverter, ceiling fans, a whiteboard, water filters, and marker pens, aiming to improve the learning environment and overall well-being of students.
The items were formally handed over by Branch Manager Anjalin Tayeng to the school’s head teacher Tater Siram in the presence of East Siang deputy director of school education (DDSE) Odhuk Tabing, block education officer Otobi Tamut, among others.
Tayeng underlined the bank’s commitment to social welfare, stating that CSR reflects a broader responsibility that includes community development and environmental sustainability. She emphasised the collective role of corporates and PSUs in supporting educational institutions through such initiatives.
This marks the second year of the bank’s CSR outreach to local schools. In 2023, the bank had supported govt secondary school, Mirbuk with 36 pairs of desks and benches.
