Arunachal MLA Zingnu Namchoom tests corona positive

ITANAGAR: Zingnu Namchoom — Arunachal Prasdesh BJP general secretary and MLA from 47 Namsai Assembly constituency — tested COVID-19 positive on Tuesday. He is the fourth legislator of the State to be tested positive.

Namchoom tweeted that, recently, he has been travelling to attend meetings. For the safety and security of his family, friends and society as a whole, he took the Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) and was tested positive for COVID-19. And he is following all the necessary instructions advised by doctors. He also requested those people who have been in contact with him to isolate and get tested.

Meanwhile, State BJP office through a circular informed that the state BJP party office will remain closed from September 9 to September 16 next for sanitization purposes.

Namchoom is the fourth lawmaker from the state to be tested COVID-19 positive after state Education minister Taba Tedir, Lekang MLA, Jummon Ete Deori and Kalaktang MLA Dorjee Wangdi Kharma.
