ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein have expressed deep sorrow over the tragic demise of former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, who lost his life in the Air India flight AI 171 crash in Ahmedabad on Thursday.
In a condolence message, CM Khandu said, “I am deeply saddened by the untimely demise of Shri Vijay Rupani Ji. His visionary leadership, humility, and unwavering commitment to the people will always be remembered.”
He added, “My heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones. May the Almighty grant him sadgati and give strength to his bereaved family and friends in this difficult time. Om Shanti”.
Mein also expressed his grief, stating, “Saddened by the untimely demise of former Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Vijay Rupani Ji in the tragic crash of Air India Flight AI 171. His passing has left a void that words can scarcely fill.”
He further said, “His unwavering commitment to Gujarat’s progress and compassionate governance earned him deep respect across all walks of life. My heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones. May they find strength and solace in this difficult time.”
The sudden loss of Rupani, who served as Gujarat’s Chief Minister from 2016 to 2021, has sent ripples of grief across the nation. Leaders from all political and social spectrums have come forward to remember his legacy of dedicated public service and inclusive development.
