ITANAGAR: The Arunachal Pradesh Police on Thursday organised a felicitation ceremony to recognise the outstanding dedication and service of its officers, particularly for their crucial role in the ongoing war against drugs. State Home Minister Mama Natung, while attending the event, lauded the relentless efforts of law enforcement in ensuring public safety and tackling drug-related crimes.

During the ceremony, officers who played key roles in two significant cases-the Majibur Rahman case and the narcotics encounter case, were honoured for their exemplary service.

Their contributions have been instrumental in strengthening the fight against narcotics and reinforcing the rule of law in the state, an official statement informed here.

In the Majibur Rahman case, Itanagar SDPO Kengo Dirchi, Itanagar police station officer-in-charge Inspector Khiksi Yangfo, Inspector Sushant Saurabh Jha, SI R K Jha, constables Sandeep Yadav and Sanu Raj T, were felicitated, whose steadfast commitment ensured justice in this high-profile case.
