ITANAGAR: All personnel of Arunachal Pradesh Police, who had tested positive for COVID-19, have completely recovered now, said a top Police official.

Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) Madhur Verma said 883 personnel of the department are now free from the disease. "It is a matter of extreme joy for all of us today as Arunachal Pradesh Police has become COVID free. Our last active case has also turned COVID negative. Our alertness and all COVID-related precautions will still continue. Wear A Mask," tweeted Verma.

Among the infected persons in the State Police department, six were IPS officers and nine Arunachal Pradesh Police Service (APPS) officers.

While 283 personnel among the total infected were from Arunachal Pradesh Police (APP), 10 were from the First Arunachal Armed Police Battlion (AAPBn) and 18 from Second AAPBn, 30 from first IRBn, 56 from second IRBn, 21 from third IRBn, 31 from fourth and 55 from fifth IRBn, 28 personnel are from police telecom wing and 45 from Fire & Emergency Services were among the infected personnel.

Taking to twitter, the Chief Minister said, "Arunachal Pradesh Police is now COVID-19 free with 100% recovery. Congratulations to Arunachal Police for the success story.

"In coming days, we hope Arunachal Pradesh will be 100% COVID free."
