Admiral Sunil Lanba meets Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu

Tezpur: Chairman of Chiefs of the Staff Committee, Admiral Sunil Lanba, who is on a two-day tour to the forward areas of Tawang sector, met Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu at the Headquarters of the Tawang Brigade yesterday. In an interaction lasting fifteen minutes, the Chairman discussed a number of issues concerning the armed forces and the civil administration. These included infrastructure development projects, encompassing roads, Railways and the feasibility of air connectivity to the state, particularly in the Kameng sector. The Chairman apprised the CM of the recent initiatives of the Central government to give the required impetus to infrastructure development in NE India, and specifically the inaccessible areas of Arunachal Pradesh.

The CM assured Admiral Lanba of all possible assistance from the State Government in the upcoming projects, besides committing himself to the welfare of the ex-servicemen of the region.
