Arunachal Pradesh extends lockdown in Itanagar till August 3

Amid the surge in Covid-19 positive cases, Arunachal Pradesh government has extended the total lockdown in Itanagar till August 3.

Chief Secretay of the state, Naresh Kumar informed "the lockdown is being extended in view of the prevailing Covid-19 situation and to contain the local transmission of virus in the region."

Speaking at the virtual conference, the lockdown which were imposed till Monday evening, have been extended till 5 am on August 3, the secretary stated.

It is to be noted Arunachal Pradesh Covid-19 tally mounts to 650 cases. The active cases in the state are 373.
