ITANAGAR: The Arunachal Pradesh government has announced enhancement of dearness allowances (DA) for its employees from existing 7 per cent to 9 per cent of the basic pay with effect from July 1, this year. The enhancement was in pursuance to the order by the department of expenditure of the union Finance Ministry, an official notification informed here Monday. The DA arrears shall be credited in the bank accounts of all government employees in the revised pay structure of 7th Pay Commission. The expenditure on account of the Dearness Allowances would be met from existing budget provisions of the department concerned in the current financial year. As per the notification, revised rates of DA would be applicable to regular State government employees only and would not apply to private and non-government institutions receiving grants-in-aid from the State government, the notification said.
