ITANAGAR: The Arunachal Pradesh Government has affected transfer and postings of senior police officers for better management of public service in the State.

Home Commissioner Kaling Tayeng in an official order issued on Thursday affected re-shuffle of 20 IPS and seven Arunachal Pradesh Police Service (AAPS) officers, in the interest of public service.

As per the order senior IPS officer Madhur Verma has been posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) at police headquarters here while Fire and Emergency Services Superintendent of Police (SP) Romil Baaniya has been posted as Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIGP), planning.

Baaniya has been also entrusted with additional charges of SP traffic and Road Safety.

SP (Prison) Kime Aya had been posted as Commanding Officer of fourth Indian Reserve Battalion (IRBn) at Jully near here, while Papumpare (Rural) SP Jimmy Chiram has been transferred as SP Capital.

Namsai SP Ankit Kumar Singh has been transferred to Lohit, while Special Investigating Team (SIT) SP Hemant Tiwari has been posted as principal of Police Training Centre (PTC) Banderdewa, the order said adding, West Kameng SP Raja Banthia has been transferred to West Siang as SP.

While Siang SP Kushal Pal Singh has been transferred to Lower Siang, Longding B R B Reddy posted as SP West Kameng, East Kameng SP Piyush Fulzele is posted as SP at police headquarters here, Kamle SP Sumit Kumat Jha has been transferred to East Kameng as SP and Rahul Gupta who was awaiting posting had been posted as SP Kamle.

Aishwariya Sharma who was awaiting posting has been posted as SP Pakke Kessang.

Dinesh Kumar Gupta has been posted as AIGP (Operations) and OSD to DGP, Sanjay Bhatia as SP of fire and emergency services, V H Meena as SP Longding, Rohit Rajbir Sing as SP (SIT), Satyavir Katara as SP (Security), R S Sagar as SP Dibang Valley and Rakesh Kumar as Commandant of 1st IRBn at Nansangmukh in Tirap district. The IPS officers would be posted accordingly on their arrival in the state, the order said.

Among the seven APPS officers, Capital SP Tumme Amo has been posted as Commanding officer of Second IRBn at Diyun in Changlang district, Dibang Valley SP Singjatla Singpho has been transferred to Siang district, Lohit SP D W Thungon is the new SP of Namsai, West Siang SO Jummer Bassar has been transferred to Upper Siang, Pakke Kessang SP J K Lego transferred to Lower Dibang Valley, Irak Bagra who was posted at police headquarters here, has been posted as AIGP (Establishment) and Upper Siang SP Neelam Nega has been transferred as SP Papumpare (Rural), the order added.
