Arunachal Pradesh Government Sets eyes To end malnutrition

ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh Minister for Women & Child Development, Health & Family Welfare Alo Libang attended the Poshan Mela -2019 organized by the Department of Women & Child Development (W&CD) at DK Convention Centre here on Monday.

The programme is being organized across the country as a part of Rashtriya Poshan Maah. The minister visited the stalls put-up by the Departments of W&CD.

Addressing the gathering, Liabang informed that the Government of India and the State Government are committed to eradicate malnutrition from the country to make every child healthy.

He requested all secretaries of the line departments to cooperate and coordinate for implementation of Abhiyaan in the State.

Meanwhile, a short movie titled “Thank You Anganwadi Didi” launched by Minister for W&CD, Smriti Zubin Irani, showing the importance of an Anganwadi worker for nutritional upgrade and maintaining health and hygiene in respect of children below 6 years, adolescent girls and pregnant and lactating mother was also screened on the day.
