Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig (retd) Dr BD Mishra stresses on road connectivity at border

Itanagar: Officiating Additional Director General of Border Roads Organization (BRO) East, PKH Singh on Tuesday called on Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig (retd) Dr BD Mishra at Raj Bhawan and discussed on border road programmes in the State.
The Governor commended the BRO for construction and maintenance of roads in the remote and far-flung areas of the State.
He said that roads are the arteries of development and road connectivity is vital to bring progress and prosperity in the state, a Raj Bhawan communiqué informed.
Dr Mishra urged upon the BRO authorities to keep the roads open throughout the year for easy movement and well-being of the people.
“Development of tourism in the state, socio-economic growth of agrarian community and export of organic horticultural and agricultural produce largely depend on the good road connectivity,” Dr Mishra pointed out.
The Governor assured the visiting officer of his good office to facilitate all administrative help in the construction of the roads in the state. He also advised the BRO to build up a good rapport with the local communities for smooth execution of projects.
Commissioner to Governor RP Upadhyaya, and Project Arunank Chief Engineer Brig RS Rawal were also present in the meeting, the communiqué added.
