Arunachal Pradesh Governor Dr BD Mishra Plants Rudrasha At Raj Bhavan

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig (retd) Dr BD Mishra on Wednesday participated in a plantation programme at Raj Bhavan here on the occasion of World Environment Day and planted saplings of Rudrasha (Elaeocarpus ganitrus). His better half Neelam Mishra also joined the occasion along with others, a Raj Bhawan communique informed.

Dr BD Mishra called upon the people to plant more and more saplings to preserve, protect and promote the environment. He said that the conservation of natural environment is as important as taking care of one’s health. It is also necessary for wellbeing of the present and future generations.

Pleased at the participation of the security personnel in the celebration of the day, the Governor advised each one of them to write to their family members back home to plant saplings and actively aid the expansion of nature’s gift to human beings.

Commissioner to Governor RP Uppadhayaya along with the officers and ITBP troops stationed at Raj Bhavan were present on the occasion, the communique added.
