On May 21, 2009, Tapi Mra conquered Mount Everest, the highest mountain in the world. Tapi Mra was attempting to climb Mount Kyarisatam for the fourth time.

Two months after the two mountaineers vanished from Mount Kyarisatam in the East Kameng area of Arunachal Pradesh, the items were found by search and rescue workers.
