Arunachal Pradesh Organizes Training on Tea Quality Upgradation in East Siang

Itanagar: The Arunachal Pradesh Trade and Commerce department, in collaboration with Tea Board of India and the Tea Research Association here, recently organized a four-day training program on "Quality Upgradation of Tea and Its Processing" at Oyan in East Siang district. The programme benefitted farmers from Mirem, Oyan, nearby areas, and Donyi Polo Tea Estate.

The initiative aimed to equip farmers with essential knowledge and skills to enhance tea quality and improve processing techniques in the industry. Experts from the Tea Research Association's Arunachal Advisory Centre and officers from the Tea Board conducted the training, which saw higher-than-expected participation from local farmers. The programme concluded with a hands-on practical session in the field, followed by a certificate distribution ceremony where participants received certificates for successfully completing the training, a statement said.
