Arunachal Pradesh Police books 1,669 people for violating lockdown protocols

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Police in its effort to ensure strict enforcement of nationwide lockdown to contain COVID-19 pandemic in the State, has booked 1,669 people violating the lockdown protocols.

Director-General of Police (DGP) RP Upadhyaya informed that 429 people have been arrested, 1669 violators booked while 750 vehicles have been seized for violating the lockdown. “The state has also imposed a total fine of Rs 6, 47, 650 on the violators so far,” the police chief informed in a tweet.

“Arunachal Police is implementing the lockdown seriously for the safety of people. 1669 violators of lockdown have been booked. 492 persons have been arrested. 750 vehicles have been seized. Total FIRs registered are 161 and total fine imposed is Rs 6,47,650.” Upadhyaya tweeted.
