Arunachal Pradesh State Board to hold exams for Classes V & VIII with effect from academic session 2019-20

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh education department has decided that classes V & VIII examinations of all private-aided and un-aided recognized schools will also brought under the purview of Arunachal Pradesh State Board (APSB) with effect from academic session 2019-20, according to elementary education director Tapi Gao.

It is also decided to comply with the CBSE assessment re-modelled structure 2017-18 that there will be 80% board examination under APSB for class-V & VIII with effect from academic session 2019-20 and 20% internal assessment, out of which 10% for three periodic tests, 5% for notebook submission and 5% for subject enrichment. The CBSE base assessment model should be followed in every Govt, schools, private-aided and un-aided recognized private schools of the state. The details of above-mentioned information can be accessed from the DDSE office of the respective district, Gao, also APSB chairman, said in a release.
