Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women for early probes into rape cases and exemplary punishment

Itanagar: The Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW) has vehemently condemned the rape of a 70-year-old lady at Higi Bagra, Aalo and a 12- year-old disabled girl at Peri village under Kamba circle in West Siang district. In a telephonic conversation with the SP Aalo, the State Women’s Commission was informed that both the alleged culprits were arrested. The APSCW expressed its deep sadness and anguish on the occurrence of such incident and felt that the culprits should be provided exemplary punishment. In a press note, the Commission called for expediting the investigation so that justice may be delivered to the victims and their families, and also requested all walks of society to cooperate with the police for early and smooth investigation of the cases.
