ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein on Wednesday informed that the Government will soon notify a policy to encourage and incentivize new start-ups and ventures in the State.

With the rollout of these initiatives, at least 500 young entrepreneurs would be supported in just one year, Mein said while inaugurating the Sarkar Aap Ke Dwar (administration at your doorsteps) mega camp organized as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations at Lekang circle in the Namsai district of the State.

"Not only will our youth get to contribute to our growing economy through the policy, but will become job creators instead of job seekers," he said.

To give a fillip to entrepreneurship and generate employment in the State, the Deputy Chief Minister informed that allocations have been enhanced in schemes like Deen Dayal Upadhyay Swavlamban Yojana (from Rs 40 crore in 2021-22 to Rs 50 crore in 2022-23) and Chief Minister Paryatan Yojana (from Rs 4 crore in 2021-22 to Rs 8 crore in 2022-23), an official communiqué informed here.

Highlighting the various peoples friendly policies of the Government, Mein said that all the initiatives in the Budget 2022-23 have been taken for the common citizens, under the philosophy of 'No citizen be left behind'.

For this purpose, allocation for conducting 'Sarkar Aap Ke Dwar', a flagship scheme programme of the Government, increased from Rs 2 crore to 7.5 crore with a mission in the Budget 2022-23, he said.

"The Budget intends to both reform and perform," he added.

The Deputy Chief Minister informed that many e-governance initiatives would be rolled out this year in the State for improving the interface between Government-to-Government and Government-to-citizen interface.

He added that subsidy allocation under Atmanirbhar Krishi and Bagwani Yojanas was enhanced from Rs 120 crore in 2021-22 to Rs 200 crore this fiscal.

"The Government will launch three new verticals - Atmanirbhar Plantation Scheme; Atmanirbhar Pashupalan Yojana; Atmanirbhar Matsyapalan Yojana - which will result in improved nutritional security and enhancement of farmers' income," he pointed out.
