Arunachal Pradesh: Two Killed in Tragic 18-Wheeler Accident at Hollongi

A tragic accident claimed the lives of two men when their vehicle, an 18-wheeler trailer truck, collided with a roadside mountain at Hollongi, near here, on Monday night, officials said.

ITANAGAR: A tragic accident claimed the lives of two men when their vehicle, an 18-wheeler trailer truck, collided with a roadside mountain at Hollongi, near here, on Monday night, officials said.

The accident occurred on NH-415, near Soge Resort, when the truck, belonging to M/S Ganpati Drilling and carrying heavy drilling equipment, lost control on a sharp turn and crashed into the mountain, according to Capital Superintendent of Police (SP) Rohit Rajbir Singh.

The impact of the collision caused the heavy cargo to surge forward, crushing the truck's cabin and fatally trapping the two occupants inside.

The deceased have been identified as Ripam Borah (30) from Sibsagar in Assam, who was driving the truck and his helper Mehedi Hasan (24) from Murshidabad in West Bengal.
