ITANAGAR: The Vice Chancellor of Arunachal University, Prof. Tomo Riba, called on state Governor Lt. Gen. (Retd.) K. T. Parnaik at Raj Bhawan on Tuesday, and discussed many issues. The Governor, who is also the Chancellor of the University at Pasighat in East Siang district, congratulated Prof. Riba on being appointed as the first Vice Chancellor of the state university and conveyed his good wishes.

He advised Prof. Riba to put in his best effort to build up the institute and live up to the expectations of the people and students.

Parnaik said that as the first vice chancellor, Prof. Riba will be facing teething issues, but they should not be a hurdle for him and his team.

"As the chancellor of the university, I will ensure the best for the students, faculty, and management of the university," the governor assured.

Parnaik also emphasized discipline and a conducive environment for study on the university campus, as well as work culture, sincerity, and dedication among the officials. Prof. Riba, who joined his duty as Vice Chancellor, assured his commitment towards the first state university.
