Arunachal Youth Organization (AYO) demands CBI probe into Trans Arunachal Highway (TAH) scam

ITANAGAR: The Arunachal Youth Organization (AYO) has demanded of the State government led by Chief Minister Pema Khandu to immediately start CBI inquiry in the Potin-Bopi Trans Arunachal Highway (TAH) compensation scam in a press briefing here at Arunachal Press Club on Friday.

Addressing the reporters AYO president Godak Takam further stated that if the state government fails to fulfill the demands within the stipulated time, the organization will be go for democratic movement in days to come. Takam also requested Chief Minister to personally monitor into PMGSY tender process. We have witnessed malpractices and corruption by the government officials and Agencies in earlier Road Project under various Schemes. “The Situation of our State has become worse by the irregularities of open corruption, bribery, fixing, misappropriation of funds, no-transparency of procedure of Notice Inviting Tender and violation of norms of Tender," Takam added.

The State needs road connectivity and lagging far behind in comparison to other part of the Country. The organiza- tion has sought fair work and no compromise on these issues. In the meantime the organization also informed that it has submitted a letter to the chief minister office regarding the issues earlier on Thursday.
