Arunachal Youth Organization (AYO) demands overall development of State

ITANAGAR, Sept 1: The Arunachal Youth Organization (AYO) has come up with a number of demands for overall development of the state. In a memorandum to the Chief Minister, AYO called for early construction of Greenfield Airport while alleging that the much awaited project is being politicized by few vested politicians for their personal benefit.
The project which dates back to the tenure of former Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu completing 10 long years is still in a state of chaos and confusion, Arunachal Youth Organization claimed while adding that once completed it will give boost to state's communication network for the sake of its denizens. It urged the CM to establish Drug De-addiction Centre in Itanagar to control the drug menace in the State Capital. The AYO also pressed for start functioning of Lathao Drug De-addiction Centre, Namsai which it said is lying defunct. It urged that the centre be handed over to a registered NGO so that it can cater to the needs of drug addiction victims. Further, AYO demanded immediate eviction drive against encroachers of government quarter in Capital Complex and all district headquarters.
