Arunachalee girl through social media appeals to people to stay at home during lockdown

Itanagar: A picture message of a small Arunachalee girl in social media, through which she appealed to the people of the State to stay at home during the 21-day lockdown, has drawn the attention of the people including Union Minister Kiren Rijiju.

The nine-year-old girl, daughter of a cop in the State, is seen holding a placard and requesting the people to stay indoors and help her father, who is away from his family due to call of duties during the 21-day nationwide lockdown.

The placard reads, “My dad is a policeman. He stays away from me to help you. Can you please stay at home to help him? IndiaFights Coronavirus.”

Rijiju, the Union Minister of State (Independent) for Sports and Youth Affairs in a tweet said; “A sweet little girl, daughter of a Policeman in Arunachal Pradesh with an emotional yet powerful message.”

“Let’s appreciate all the Police Personnel and all those who are continuously working in the field for the safety of everyone,” Rijiju added.

The girl’s message speaks volumes of the risk that are being faced by the frontline workers while rendering their duties but are still doing their work sincerely for the welfare for the nation by leaving their families and homes behind.

Denizens of the State widely appreciated the message of the little girl and a number of them gave comments on the social media posts, saluting the efforts of her father and other frontline staff.
