Arunachal’s cultural teams perform at Taj Mahatsava in Uttar Pradesh

ITANAGAR: The Mori Tapu team from Mori village of Siang district and One Step Foundation from Hija village in Lower Subansiri district, have presented the famous Tapu War Dance of the Adi tribe and Pakhu-Etu folk dance of the Apatani tribe respectively, representing Arunachal Pradesh in the ongoing Taj Mahotsava at Agra in Uttar Pradesh. Handicraft and handlooms creations of the state were also displayed during the three days stay in the event.

The Taj Mahotsava is an annual cultural extravaganza organized every year by the Uttar Pradesh tourism department wherein, cultural presentation of every state in India is showcased.

The participation of Arunachal Tourism in the Taj Mahotsava is to solemnized the promise of keeping the spirit of national integration between the partnered states under Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat initiative of the union tourism ministry, through a year-long plan engagement like cultural exchanges, tourism activities, student exchange between all Indian states and Union Territories.
