Assam Rifle (AR) promotes COVID-appropriate behavior among public

CHANGLANG: The Changlang district battalion of Assam Rifle (AR) under the aegis of Headquarter Inspector General, Assam Rifles (North), organized an awareness drive on Covid pandemic and to promote Covid appropriate behavior among the public of district at Changlang town here on Tuesday.

The road show aimed to educate and also to guide people on various safety precautions against the second wave of Covid. It provided comprehensive information about the pandemic regarding its sources, methods of infection, symptoms of infection and its preventive measures.

It also highlighted the important instructions, government guidelines and precautionary and preventive measures including wearing masks, social distancing and regular hand washing.

Masks were also distributed to the public from the town on the day.

The awareness road campaign is one the numerous activities undertaken by the Battalion to ensure well being of the villagers and alleviates their hardships.

The helping act is a reinforcement of the Battalion's thought of always standing by the side of its men and their families with the true motto of "Friends of the Hill People".
