BD Mishra, Pema Khandu Resolve To Speed Up Developmental Schemes

ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig (retd) Dr BD Mishra and Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Tuesday resolved to bring about the requisite speed in implementation of all Central and State schemes in the State for welfare of the people.

During a meeting at Raj Bhawan here, the Governor and the Chief Minister discussed developmental issues particularly, rural road communication, health, and education as well as law and order, an official communiqué informed.

They also discussed about providing good road communication network as it would have a huge socio-economic impact.

The Governor appreciated Pema Khandu for giving priority to development and public welfare. Mishra shared with Khandu the details of his recent meeting with Ministers and officials concerned from Rural Works, Environment and Forests, BSNL and planning department for expediting the Miao-Vijoynagar strategic road.

The Governor, who has been monitoring the distribution of textbooks to school students of the State, commended the Chief Minister and his Cabinet for ensuring free textbooks to school students and its timely distribution.

Mishra also shared his concerns about the slow pace of work in developing the main campus of the lone Sainik school in the State at Niglok in East Siang district.

Both discussed developmental projects at MLA constituency-level and the important role of the members of the State Legislative Assembly in their implementation, the communiqué added.
