BJP election committee chairman Tame Phassang appeals for calm polls

ITANAGAR: BJP election committee chairman Tame Phassang on Thursday requested the denizens of Kurung Kumey and Kra-Daadi districts for peace and fair election in their respective constituencies.
Addressing media persons here at the Arunachal Press Club, Phassang said that repeated reports of violence is being done around in social media which brings a bad image to the State and especially to the two districts. “Elections will come and go but one should know that irrespective of any party, we are all one family. Obstruction in the election process will not be beneficial for anyone,” he said requesting other parties to shun all culture and tactics of affecting the election procedure.
Phassang alleged the Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) for vote capturing. He also made a statement that the State BJP has never demanded for any repoll in the districts. The decision of repoll came after the verification of various incidents and irregularity in the voting process by the Election Commission (EC).
Meanwhile, BJP candidate Balo Raja refuted the repeated allegations made by APCC president Takam Sanjoy of vote capturing in Rakso polling station of Palin constituency of Kra-Daadi district.
