"The allegation is totally unfounded and devoid of factual truth. Of course a girls hostel was supposed to be inaugurated on August 17 but later it was postponed to August 20," a press statement stated. Due to unfortunate news of former Prime Minister's death, the programme was converted into a kind of condolence meeting which was attended by BJP party workers including District President to pay homage to the departed soul of beloved leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The programme was started with one minute silence for the departed soul. There was no ribbon cutting, no formal reception, no felicitation, no music and nothing sort of entertainment rather, it was quite and sombre. All speakers paid tributes to the departed soul.
Infact, the hostel was named as Atal Bihari Vajpayee Memorial Girls Hostel as a humble attempt to show our deepest respect to the great soul. "So, the allegation levelled by APCC against the BJP MLA and party functioneries of state BJP that appeared in a Arunachal daily newspapers is just a cheap attempt to score political mileage by misleading the public," it added.
