ITANAGAR: The state unit of the BJP organized a training programme for gram panchayat chairpersons of Upper Subansiri and Kamle districts on Thursday at Daporijo, the district headquarter. MLAs Rode Bui (Dumporijo), Taniya Soki (Daporijo), Tapin Siga, advisor to the chief minister, and a host of party leaders attended the programme, a party release informed. Bui, in his deliberations, highlighted various developmental activities initiated under the leadership of Chief Minister Pema Khandu in the state and nine years under the Modi government at the Centre. He said that the panchayat leaders who are working dedicatedly for the welfare of society as well as at the village level would be rewarded in due course.

Bui urged the gram panchayat chairpersons to highlight developmental activities initiated by the BJP government among the masses, saying that gram panchayat members are the first-level grass-roots leaders who should carry forward all kinds of developmental initiatives of the government. The Daporijo MLA, in his address, also highlighted various developmental achievements of the central and state governments in the state.
