TEZU: The Lohit unit of 'Arunachal Artist Forum' organized a blood-donation drive at Tezu Zonal General Hospital on February 22. At least 12 units of blood were collected during the drive.

Speaking on the occasion, chairman of the organization, Announ Bellai appreciated the donors for coming forward for the cause of humanity.

The drive has been initiated after we got the news about shortage of blood in hospitals.

Blood donation is one of the most noble activities for the society as it gives life to other people, he said and assured that more such event will be organized.

Appreciating the AAF for the noble cause, Medical Superintendent Dr Singh also appealed the public to join the drive. The donor does not encounter any problem after donating blood; instead it makes the donor healthier.

He also informed that they can preserve the blood for atleast 35 days; and it is given to the needy patients as and when required during that prescribed period.
