BORDUMSA: Following a gradual downpour of allegations and counter-allegations among the officials of various departments and a section of people from various quarters over a period of time here in 49th Bordumsa-Diyun constituency, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Bordumsa Dr Devansh Yadav temporarily suspended Dewan Gamlin, the Agriculture Development Officer (ADO) of Bordumsa who was the Incharge of the Block Development Office of Bordumsa CD Block in Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh.

According to a copy of suspension letter (No B/DEV/DOTCL/2019 dated 16th July 2019) served to the official under question, a show-cause notice was served to Gamlin earlier for verification of DOTCL (Development of Tirap-Changlang-Longding) schemes of the FY 2018-2019. According to the letter, the payments were released to contractors and firms without submitting the action taken reports. Several public complaints received regarding discrepancies and anomalies in execution of works under various schemes were duly cross-verified and unearthed that no actions were indeed taken to rectify the work and payment was not commensurate with the value of the work.

The letter states, “the reply to the show-cause notice to Dewan Gamlin was not satisfactory and based on the preliminary inquiry and prima facie evidence, D Gamlin has been found violating the conduct rules causing loss to public exchequer and misappropriation of funds.

Meanwhile, an FIR to this effect was also lodged at Bordumsa police station on July 23. When contacted, Changlang SP, Romil Baniya said that law would take its natural course after the investigation concludes.
